I am thoroughly enjoying rehearsals on a new opera by Karen MacIver in which an Usain Bolt-like character called ‘Spike’ who has won gold medals in all individual disciplines, and cannot do just one thing – that is sing – is taught by an Italian diva to sing!

The wonderful Andy McTaggart will be playing Spike from May 25 to June 8 and I will take over the role from June 9 to August 30.

We will be touring all around Scotland in a mini Theatre Royal. Check this out from last year.

We will also be doing two other shows curated by Derek Clark. They are A Little Bit of HMS Pinafore and A Little Bit of Eugene Onegin.
